The Virginia Nurse Aide Train-the-Trainer Course prepares licensed nurses to become instructors for Nurse Aide training programs. This 2-day hybrid course combines virtual learning with in-person instruction to provide the knowledge and teaching skills needed to train future nurse aides.
Day 1: Live virtual training via Zoom covering instructor responsibilities, Virginia training requirements, teaching strategies, and student evaluation.
Day 2: In-person session focused on teaching demonstrations, skills instruction, and competency evaluation techniques.
Eligibility:
Participants must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unrestricted license.
Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion demonstrating preparation to teach Nurse Aide students.
