Service Description

The 68- hour Medication Aide program prepares students to administer medications in Assisted Living Facilities. Skills students will acquire include: Proper procedure for preparing, administering and maintaining medications; Aseptic techniques; Basic pharmacology; Assisting client with self-administration of medication; and Documentation. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the Virginia State Board of Nursing competency exam for licensure as a Registered Medication Aide. *Must be a Certified Nurse Aide/Personal Care Aide* Tuition includes: PPD vaccine, CPR/FA, Background check, Drug Screen, and State Board Exam,Board of Nursing Application Hours: 68 HR (40 Lecture/8 Insulin/20 Clinicals) 4-6 weeks Requirements: - 18 yrs+ - Must be a PCA, NA, CAN, or HHA with a valid certificate Certification exam included in tuition, balance due or you will not receive a certificate or sign up for exam

Refund Policy

No refunds will be given for any course unless the student is deemed physically or mentally incompetent, by a medical doctor, to complete the course. The percentage of the refund will be determined by how far along the course the student was. The registration fee is due before the start of the course date.

​Grievance Policy

All complaints will receive written/verbal feedback from the Program Director within seven days of notice.

If the program director does not respond within seven days, student/client and client families may contact the Virginia Board of Nursing or BBB concerning the matter.
